Morocco

I recently treated myself to a Spotify premium account, allowing me to listen to my favourite playlists offline, without having to be connected to the internet (which is a bonus for someone like me that always runs out of internet data) I used to run with both my Iphone tracking my miles on my Nike Running app, but also have my ipod in the other hand for my music. I don't know if I'm the only one, but unless I have a good playlist pushing me through, I get quite bored, and I also hated how many different devices I had to take out with me (theres nothing worse than running with a lot of stuff) so thanks to the Spotify offline feature, I can now hit the pavements with just my Iphone strapped to arm.

I recently went on a bloggers trip to Morocco thanks to Hyatt Place in Taghazout Bay (stay tuned for our trip diary) and if you know me or follow me on Instagram, you may know that I have a really bad phobia of flying! Even though I have flown to some amazing places across the world, a handful of bad flights really left their mark, and now every time I book a trip, even the lead up for me means sleepless nights. On a flight you may come across that one person with tears rolling down there face as they are boarding the plane, their seatbelt stays on even when the seatbelt light is no longer flashing, and during take off and landing they are clinging onto the arm rests or person next to them for dear life...haha that person is me! I flew to a tipi surf camp in May (read our travel diary here) and one thing Jon said I should try was creating a playlist to listen to on the plane, to drown out all the sounds of the aircraft, and it worked! It was the calmest I'd been during a flight, so I figured I'd follow the same format for our trip to Morocco. When we flew to France, I didn't have enough memory on my Iphone, so all I had was 4 songs on repeat on my Itunes to keep me company haha! So for Morrocco I took full advantage of the Spotify offline feature and created my essential holiday playlist to get me through the flight and rest of our trip. I love how songs can bring you straight back to the moment you were in when you last listened to them...So listen and enjoy! I would love to hear what you guys are listening to at the moment, let me know! and any bad flyers out there? let me know how you tackle flying!

  1. I love Spotify Premium. I was so slow to jump on the bandwagon but like you, I love having flexible playlists that I can take anywhere with me. I've got Of Monsters and Men's latest album pretty much on repeat at the moment, as well as some cheesy motivational tracks. My trusty, eight-year old iPod finally died on me so now I'm using Spotify on my phone for jogging, gym, walking to work, etc. which is handy for running Strava to track my run as well. Need to get a strap, though, I just carry it in my hand and am paranoid about dropping it!

(Plus now it's getting colder my hands are going to go so numb in the Scottish air!)

    1. Hi Louisa, My partner uses Strava! He loves it, I got my arm strap in TK Max - it was really cheap and a defiant life saver, and I don't have to worry about dropping it either :) you should defiantly invest in one! Amazing, I'm going to check out Monsters and Men, thanks for the suggestion :) x

  2. I don't have Spotify Premium but definitely have considered it. It's fab that you can listen offline and is great for trips away. Hope you had a nice time in Morocco! xo

  3. I'm not a bad flyer, but I believe strongly in the power of music. I play classical music at mealtimes to calm the children down and it works. I must look into Spotify premium. I have a standard account but often wonder if it's worth upgrading.

    1. Love the idea at the dinner table John! I upgraded purely for the offline feature, being someone that uses my music on a daily basis for either the gym or my commute to work I love it! x
